TECHSERVE 2026: Exploring the Future Through Augmented Reality Glasses

The Department of Computer Science, under the Helios Association in association with IQAC, successfully organized a TECHSERVE session on “Augmented Reality Glasses” on 12 June 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the College Auditorium.

The program commenced with an inaugural address by Dr. Fr. Jimmy Jose SDB, Principal, Don Bosco College, Mannuthy. In his address, he emphasized the importance of staying updated with emerging technologies and encouraged students to make the best use of such learning opportunities to enhance their knowledge, creativity, and professional skills.

The technical session was led by Mr. Sanad Aboobacker Sajith, III BCA, who provided an insightful introduction to the concept of Augmented Reality (AR) and its growing significance in the modern technological landscape. He explained how AR glasses seamlessly integrate digital information with the real-world environment, creating immersive and interactive experiences. The session also highlighted the wide-ranging applications of AR glasses in fields such as education, healthcare, gaming, manufacturing, and industrial training.

The event was coordinated by Mr. Gokul Sona and Ms. Jerin Mathai, with Mr. Hayden Joby serving as the Student Coordinator. The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who actively engaged in discussions and interactions throughout the program.

The TECHSERVE session proved to be both informative and inspiring, offering participants valuable insights into one of the most promising technologies shaping the future. The program concluded with a heartfelt note of appreciation to the resource person, coordinators, and all participants for their contributions in making the event a grand success.
